The Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad is opening our doors to the community! Come explore our ambulances, squad trucks, and water rescue equipment, and receive free, hands-on training in a variety of life-saving skills: CPR, Stop the Bleed, and REVIVE! opioid overdose education. All ages are welcome!

During the event, participants will have access to free tourniquets, CPR face shields, first aid kits for children, disposal kits for expired medication, medication lock boxes, and gun locks. Narcan nasal spray (used in the emergency treatment of opioid overdose) will also be available.

CARS CARES (Community Accessible Resources, Education, and Support) is a community outreach initiative that seeks to build collaborative relationships within the community we serve to provide critical life-saving skills, equipment, and knowledge to citizen
