The opening session of Technology for Good is a welcome to Charlottesville’s Technology Community, an update on where the various industries of Energy, Biotech, and Data & AI have made strides in the past year, and a broad look at the techniques and landscape of Angel investing.

This interactive session will begin with an embodiment practice to welcome everyone to the space, followed by a connecting exercise to make sure attendees leave these conversations with new connections and colleagues.

The session also features a Keynote from WillowTree’s Chief Diversity Officer, Kelli Palmer, offering remarks on how does tech fit into the big picture of social good? Kelli examines how Tech helps healing and opportunity for the Charlottesville community, while also addressing more global concerns related to tech’s advancing sophistication and potential pitfalls.
