  • Daniel is a passionate advocate for young black men in Charlottesville. With years of experience working in community development and education, Daniel has dedicated his career to creating opportunities and empowering young men of color to succeed. Through his work as the President of the 100 Black Men of Central and Youth Opportunity Coordinator Focused on Black Male Achievement, Daniel has gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing black youth in Charlottesville and is committed to finding solutions that address these issues head-on. He also serves his community by sitting on various Boards and Committees including the Steering Committee for the UVA Equity Center, the Corporate Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia, the Board of Directors for Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, and Equity Committees for the City and County school systems. He believes that by investing in young black men, we can build a stronger, more equitable community for all.
